Upland Talk Bulletin Board Netiquette Guidelines

The Upland Talk Bulletin Board is a place to share knowledge, information, meet other earnest bird hunters and just plain shoot the breeze. It's been compared to a bird hunting camp or an old general store where hunters meet at the end of the day around the wood stove to tell tall tales. (It's actually grown into a large group of folks gathered around a hearth in a Sporting Camp thanks to all the positive member participation) If you like what you see, pull up a stool.

Donations via the "Subscription/Donation" function support the running of this site/BB and are crucial and very much appreciated. Members who donate are put into the Contributing Member group and enjoy enhanced privileges.

The Administrator and Moderators of this board have the responsibility to provide a safe, yet thought provoking "Covert" for members to visit and participate in. Topics should stay within the subject matter of bird hunting or other sporting related interests. Forays outside of that arena should be on the General Discussions Forum and not stray far from Sporting related issues. Topics outside the sporting arena will be reviewed on a Topic to Topic basis as to their suitablity to this BB's Forums. Political and/or religious Topics have proven to sour the tone of the board and are likely to be locked, edited or deleted.

DONT FORGET: This is a "global" board viewed by anyone in the world-not a private, non-public board. Keep that in mind before hitting "Reply" or "Post New Topic".

Please adhere to the following guidelines:

If you feel you will be indignant or become hostile about having your Reply/Posts edited or deleted or Topics locked and removed please do not participate on the Upland Talk Bulletin Board.

Abuse or harrassment through Topics, Posts, PM's or e-mail directed towards Administrators or Moderators may immediately result in losing membership privileges or being banned from the board.

Threats of physical violence in any form directed towards Administrators, Moderators, Members or any person being discussed on the Forums may immediately result in losing membership privileges or being banned from the board.

Any behavior on the Forums or board PM/e-mail functions that threatens the well-being and integrity of the Upland Journal website/BB brand and it's members may immediately result in losing membership privileges or being banned from the board.

Leave negative baggage and past grievances from other bulletin boards at the door.

Keep Posts clean and respectful and refrain from demeaning or slandering fellow participants or third parties. You will often disagree with fellow members, but also agree to disagree and walk away.

Please do not respond to suspected trolls, troublemakers or inflammatory Posts. Contact the Administrator/Moderator.

Registering with double or more memberships and/or supplying User/Name Passwords to banned or restricted members may immediately result in losing membership privileges or being banned from the board.

Non-participation on the Forums and not logging-on for several months may result in membership and membership privileges being removed or deleted to save server/bandwidth space.

Please contact the administrator before creating Topics promoting organizations or soliciting for raffles or for donations to organizations, causes or individuals –to see if they are acceptable to the board and do not take advantage of the generosity Upland Journal members are known for.

Please refrain from selling items or dogs on the Forums, promoting competing bulletin boards and blatant self-promotion of other websites, businesses and services. I've provided a classified ad Swap & Trade Forum for Contributing Members to sell items. There is an Upland Links page and I offer Color Display ad space on the site. URL's in signatures are currently allowed.

If at any time you feel that the Upland Talk BB and it's moderating practices are not suited for you please contact the administrator to arrrange the deletion of your membership. There are a plethora of other sporting websites/BB's available to fit anyones tastes.

Summary: The Administrator & Moderators reserve the right to edit and remove Replies as well as lock and delete Topics that are deemed inappropriate, indecent, mean-spirited, malicious, slanderous, threaten the well-being of the site/BB or do not reflect the spirit and brand of the Upland Journal website and the Upland Talk Bulletin Board. We reserve the right to restrict Membership privileges, delete memberships and ban members if deemed necessary.
