Thanks, the drop doesn't seem bad to me.  I'm thinking I will leave it as is since I'm used to shooting an Ithaca Flues 16 with a lot of drop!!

We'll see this weekend when I test'er out.

It looks to be tight with the top lever well to the right. Is that rust on the left side of the action or is it the case colors turning brown?

If the stock dimensions fit you than you got a sweet deal.

BTW according to the serial number it's approximately a 1927 Sterlingworth. I say approximately because no one seems to know how accurate the serial number charts are.

Congrats!! It's worth more than what you paid.

** Odds are it has 2 9/16 chambers. I'd feed it RST 2.5 ammo

You can "get away" with shooting 2 3/4 shells in it, but I wouldn't do it often.
