The recipe in Upland Pantry calls for whiskey. What kind should be used? Does it matter?

Thanks.

doesn't matter.  You are not going to be able to tell the brand.  Bourbon, Rye, Scotch, Irish, Kentucky, Tennessee, or Canadian all should work.
I will caution, cheap product yields cheap results. So, with that said Tennessee sippin' whiskey is out.

Can you give me your recommendation? I'm no expert on booze.

Thanks,
Gary

Cognac.  Get a small bottle of Courvoisier VS.  Then enjoy the remaining in a glass at body temp.
